Unlike the closed RAN model, Open-RAN enables a flexible and interoperable infrastructure. It is based on open standards and interfaces, allowing different vendors to independently develop components such as base stations and software. Open-RAN promotes competition, reduces costs, and enables innovation in the telecommunications industry.
