The 5G campus network set up by Siemens in Hall 9 also offers exhibitors the opportunity to demonstrate their use cases on site in live operation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The private 5G campus network at Hannover Messe will be extended by Siemens with a 5G network specifically designed for industrial purposes. Not only will various 5G applications be presented there during the course of the trade fair, companies from the industrial sector can use the site as a test field environment throughout the year.<\/p>\n<h2>Use cases on the 5G campus network<\/h2>\n<p>The private 5G network can be specifically adapted to the corresponding requirements for performance, reliability and security. At the show, Siemens will demonstrate, among many other use cases, how mobility and safety in manufacturing plants can be increased by connecting Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) via 5G. A wireless game will demonstrate how wireless extension of a Profinet network via 5G can communicate with a central controller with several decentralized peripheral modules. In addition, the discussion between Siemens CEO Roland Busch, Germanys Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck and the head of the German Confederation of Trade Unions (DGB) Yasmin Fahimi on the framework conditions for a successful transformation of industry to greater sustainability can be followed at the BDI business forum.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\">Through 5G to more sustainability<\/h2>\n<p>Connecting the real world with the digital world is said to be an essential means of bringing about sustainable change in industry. For example, Digital Twins enable smarter use of data, which could make production more efficient and therefore more sustainable. Siemens will also present how companies, using devices to analyze energy and condition data, can optimize their energy consumption.<\/p>\n<p>Some of these sustainability-enhancing technologies will be demonstrated at the show in the form of an electric vehicle called SimRod.
