Mobile World Congress 2023, the annual international exhibition, shall soon stir up the mobile technology ecosystem. Hosted by GSMA in Spain, the event plans to shed light on a plethora of 5G and 6G topics, with influential speakers and industry front-benchers. 

Set to hit the streets of Barcelona, the MWC returns this year from 27th February to 2nd March at Fira Barcelona Gran Via. MWC serves as an international summit of the mobile connectivity industry in Barcelona. Having been held in a hybrid format last year due to the pandemic, the international congress will bring together almost 61 000 attendees from 168 countries, including 59% of senior decision-makers in the industry, reported GSMA in their latest press release.

The show floor shall also host visiting ministers, telecom regulators, data protection authorities, senior representatives of international organizations, and over 8,000 industry CEOs – all gathering to share knowledge and engage on important policy and regulatory topics.

The MWC is also going to be covered by over 3,600 press and media representatives. The visitors shall be offered a platter of the latest trendsetting connectivity technology, a chance to foster valuable B2B connections, and gain insight into the solutions to the current challenges of cross-industry connectivity. Exhibiting companies from various backgrounds shall also be at the forefront, along with influential tech and mobile providers, supplemented by device manufacturers, vendors, and content owners.

The five-day exhibition shall feature an array of conferences, programmes, and workshops, with a multi-industrial approach to solving global connectivity issues.  For the attendees, networking and informative events on 5G Connect, Advancing AI, CloudNet and other essential topics shall be at the forefront this year.  Given how through greater software development, digital innovation, and enhanced 5G delivery, mobile-led platforms are becoming even smarter, creating new use cases and business models, thereby, transforming industry and enterprises. In a recent press release, it was also reported that the GSMA, a global organisation unifying the mobile ecosystem, hosted a preview press conference for MWC Barcelona 2023.  Where the keynote speakers included Extreme E’s Founder and CEO, Alejandro Agag; Maersk’s CEO Vincent Clerc; NEC Corporation’s President & CEO, Takayuki Morita; Vattenfall’s President and CEO, Anna Borg.
