With 5G private networks to the smart factory

Private networks, in Germany also known as campus networks, are local mobile networks, usually implemented with 5G, that companies deploy at their sites in a customized manner to securely network machines and processes. In Germany, the Federal Network Agency allocates the necessary frequencies for operation. Thanks to 5G technology and the use of dedicated frequencies, industry requirements for latency, reliability, security and availability can be implemented to a high degree. For this reason, they are seen by many as an important enabler for the factory of the future, because: In the smart factory, the communication infrastructure in particular must be smart and powerful. But private networks are also suitable for use in existing processes as a connectivity solution.
