On an international level, the 5G PPP has excelled in pushing 5G technology across national borders. To advance technology and standards as well as challenges to 5G, one thing is needed: to enable worldwide exchange of information and to pursue common goals. Three October events have been reported by the 5G PPP.

The 5G Infrastructure Public Private Partnership (5G PPP) is a joint initiative of the European Commission and the European ICT industry (ICT manufacturers, telecom operators, service providers, SMEs and research institutions).

The challenge for the 5G Public Private Partnership (5G PPP) is to ensure Europe’s leadership in areas where Europe is strong or where there is potential to create new markets such as smart cities, e-health, intelligent transport, education or entertainment & media. The 5G PPP initiative will strengthen European industry to successfully compete in global markets and open new innovation opportunities. It will “open a platform that will help us achieve our common goal of maintaining and strengthening the global technology edge.”
